iPhone 6s not receiving text messages, 3 ways to Fix.

Many iPhone 6/6s and 6 plus users are complaining that all of sudden they stopped receiving messages on their iPhone. Not only from android but also from other iPhones the iPhone 6s users are not receiving any text messages. The other person is getting a delivery report however the message is not received on the iPhone.

To fix the issue when iPhone is not getting any messages many users tried to delete all of messages, restarted their iPhone and nothing has seemed to work. it is difficult to understand What could be the reason iphone 6s and iPhone 7 is not receiving texts.  While in some cases the users are not receiving text messges only on the iPhone but are receiving message on other apple device like iPad (iMessage case).

Fix 1: Check LTE settings
Check your LTE setting, if you are using both voice and data that's probably the problem. Change it to data only and this should fix the issue.

Fix 2: if you are seeing message on other apple device
If logged in to other iOS device, like an iPad, your iMessage settings might be set to receive and start messages from your Apple ID instead of your phone number. To see if your phone number is set to send and receive messages, go to Settings > Messages, and tap Send & Receive. If it is not there please add the same.

Fix 3: Reset imessages and network settings

Delete all the messages from your iPhone and turn off imessages, turn on imessages, reset network settings and restart iphone. This seems to help people to receive messages from the  android users.  This can take two or three days to work but its work in the end , below are detailed steps :
-Go into Messages > Edit > Select all message threads > Delete
-Go into Settings > Messages > toggle off iMessage > toggle on iMessage > Wait for activation
-Back into Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
-Hold power button > Slide to power off
-Then turn the phone back on
